i was just wondering if doing that can mess with the baby's stomache? i want to br___tfeed but i plan on pumping because i will work alot and im afraid i wont always have enough pumped milk for the babysitter. so is it ok to give the baby formula sometimes too?

I have heard that its fine to go back and forth, but that you dont want to do that right at first. I'm not sure how true that is, and I dont even know why.....just what i've heard.

They say not to give formula until b___stfeeding is "well established". That's why they don't want you to do it at first. Switching back and forth between a b___st nipple and bottle nipple can confuse the baby, because both require a different latch. Some babies have no problem, but others are very peticular. If you put them on bottles before you have b___stfeeding well established, the baby may prefer the bottle nipple and refuse to take the b___st.
