i thought i was pregnant and i thought i should ask you ladies. i took a test in march and it said pos. then i got my period so i thought it was wrong. since then i have been getting my period very light peroid and its has been short. i went up 2cup sizes and i was sick for june 1st to the 18th then i spotted on the 18th and 19th. i didn't get my peroid For june never came it was supposed to be June 25th. I've been taking prego urine test and they came up neg. then i went to the Dr. July 5th. dr. said am not pregnant so i was like "that ok" then i ask her so that means my hcg level was a zero. she said no it was at a 2hcg. she said mostl likely i had a m/c. what do you ladies think, can there be a chance i can be pregnant? i haven't had that whole bleeding for 10days or cramps or even fever. i haven't still have not had a period for june. and still no bleeding. have any of you ladies ever test at a 2 and hade a good pregnancy?

Sorry, but it does sound to me like you had a m/c. The very low HcG might be the very last hormones leaving your system from the m/c- as hormones from a m/c can remain in your system for up to 8 weeks. And, periods can get really screwed up after a m/c for awhile. Mine did. 2 HcG is extremely low- if you were still pregnant from the pregnancy in March it would be an astronomical # (10's or 100's of thousands). So sorry you are going through this- it's hard!! Best of luck to you- if you conceive again your chances of a healthy baby will be as good as anyone's- having a m/c won't change that- hope this gives you some hope!!!

Sorry, but you were probably pregnant and then miscarried. Yes, it takes a few weeks for the HCG to completely leave your system. Just don't give up if you've been trying. It will happen.

I agree with the others...sounds like a m/c. Your hcg levels have fallen and that is never good. A m/c can mess w/ your cycles for awhile too, which may explain why they have been so different. Thinking of you!

thank you Sahmof3 and Been There. i just got off the phone with my dr. and she said a 2 hcg means its a neg. am 20yrs old and i don't know too much about pregnancy's m/c. can a women give out a Hcg hormone with out being pregnant. do use women just already have that hormone? i know that must be a dumb question.

It's not a dumb question. My first pregnancy ended in m/c and I didn't know much about pregnancy. My doctor said I had to have D&C to clean out my uterus, because my body never expelled the baby, and I didn't even know what he was talking about!! Anyway, to answer your question I don't think women have this hormone unless they are pregnant. With my 3rd pregnancy (my second born) I found out I was pregnant about 4 days before I missed a period. I went in right away and they did a HcG level and it was only 25- all the other ones I'd ever had were in the 1,000's- even the m/c'd one, so I was freaked out. But, it turns out that I just found out so early about the pregnancy that the hormones hadn't had time to rise yet. She was born big and healthy! Good luck to you!
