Head Down Dropping Question

I am 35 weeks. I had an internal exam today and the doc said that my babe was in the head down position. Does this mean that he has already dropped? How am I able to tell if he has or not? Thanks.

I think that means that your baby is in the correct position and not so much that the baby has dropped but don't quote me on that one.

On my last u/s my Dr told the same thing and I saw my lo head down . Head down is just a same position as head up not that the baby has dropped.

Head down means that is is in a 'Ceph' position and in correct position for birth(head in pelvis, feet in your ribs). At 35 weeks that is a good way to be! Head up means a breech presentation(little bum coming first!). He may have dropped but it is whether he is engaged or not. I would imagine since the Doctor didn't mention anything that the head is still free. If he does engage believe me you will tell the difference in your pelvis!!!
