For the veteran Mommies out there...I was curious how long it took for you that lost your mucus plugs prior to the onset of labor went (in days/hours) before active labor began? I know that it can take quite some time (weeks?!! Ahhhhhhhh) but I would love to get an average just for fun! Thanks!!

If this is your first baby... they will let you go until 42 weeks, if you and baby are okay. Baby number one: I lost my plug at 35 weeks and had him at 40 weeks and 3 days (induced pre-clampsia). Baby number two: I don't remember losing my plug and I had him at 40 weeks and 5 days (natural). I am now at 36 weeks and haven't lost it yet (I don't think I have). You want to have that baby in your arms so bad... and it's just a tease losing your plug. The baby comes when your body is ready to deliver....

I lost mine at about 1:30 p.m., and my water broke at 3:30 p.m., and my daughter was born at 6:44 p.m. Hopefully it'll be as quick this time!! ;o)
