I M Lost On This Whole Nursing Clothing Thing Help

So, where's a good place to buy a nursing bra? I've been buying all my maternity clothes at Old Navy my whole pregnancy, but they don't have any. I desperately don't want to go to Mimi Maternity in the mall, and I think those are my only options. Target didn't have my size when I went today. Also, what did those of you who have nursed before wear at night? Do you HAVE to have nursing gowns? What about during the day? Is it necessary to buy a whole new wardrobe of nursing camisoles and shirts? I appreciate any advice!! :)

I bought a couple nursing bras as JC Penny's --they don't have a large selection but they have a couple really common brands (I think I bought Platex and I believe the other brand they had was Duo-maternity).

Honestly, If you do find one, I would buy just that for now...ONE because after your milk comes in, you are going to grow!!! I went from an A cup to a C cup and had to go out and buy all new bras after I started nursing because none of the bras I bought before hand fit me anymore. Just check around for them though......Places like Wal-Mart,Kohls, Sears..basically any department store should have nursing bras if they have a maternity section.

Do your b___bs stay that huge throughout the whole time you're b___st feeding? When do they go down to normal size?

I think the amount of b___st change depends some on the women. I did buy my bras just a bit bigger then I am right now (they fit but there is a little bit of room, plus they are stretchy), so I'm hoping that I don't grow much more when my milk comes in. I bought mine b/c the maternity bra's I bought a few months ago aren't fitting as well around the ribs anymore. Since the nursing bras are the same price as new maternity bras I figured might as well go w/ the nursing ones and hopefully I'll be able to wear them even after my milk comes in. As Tammy said, I've heard some women say they grew a ton, but also some women don’t. I actually specifically asked my mother and sil about how much they grew after their milk came in and both of them really didn't get much bigger (they just grew during the pregnancy). So, Mommymeg you might be wise to not buy much as Tammy said (unless you already need to buy bras anyways :), but as far as your b___b size, I’d expect to be just as big as you are now if not bigger while you are nursing, but from what I hear/read they should go down when you quit.

My advice is to get a GOOD nursing bra....I bought a few c___ppy ones from Walmart and such trying to save money, and ended up getting the best bra EVER at Nordstroms....it was $60 but worth every single cent!! :o)

Also, once you get comfy with nursing, you'll just be able to lift up your shirt and unhook your bra and hook your lo up!! ;o) The first month I'd say is the most difficult because both of you guys are getting comftorable. My son is 6.5 months old and it's easy as anything now!
