Hi all, I was just wondering, I am now 39 weeks pregnant and will be the 40th week in a few days from now. I was just wondering if and when I will have to be induced, can I have an epidural 1st before going into "Full Labour" from the epidural? SOMEBODY please answer me, I'm REALLY AFRAID. Thanks

they will not give you a epidural till they see that the medication that they give you to induce your labor is working because it can cause the medication to stop working if epidural is given or at least less effective....the pain from 1-4 is not that bad and is not considered full labor get you epidural when you are at about 4 cm before they break your bag of fluids....that is when labor gets a little intense after your bag of waters is broken.....good luck relax and come back to let us know how it all works out
