If You Have BH Does That Mean Labor Will Come Sooner

This may be a dumb question. I've been having BH since at least week 31/32. I didn't realize it until they showed up on my non-stress test. I've had 2 of these tests to date (am now 33.5 weeks) and over the course of the 30 minute test registered 2 BH contrax both times. Are BH related at all to when you'll go into labor? ie, could I be early? Or do they have nothing to do w/ the timing of things? I'm hoping my girl will come before 40 weeks!! Thanks!

BH is kind of like a practice contraction, to prepare you for labor. And no it does not mean that it will come early. I had BH since week 14 and I delivered on 40.3 weeks. It could be a sign of early labor if you had menstrual like cramps also and all the signs of premature birth. But no, it doesnt mean that.

This is my fourth pg and I've had BH with all of them, starting earlier with each pregnancy and being stronger with each one too. I don't know if they have anything to do when the abby actually arrives, but they seem to have amde labour fast er for me at least - first baby was 5 and a half hours, second baby was just over 2 hours, and my third was 45 mintues in the car. THIS one is scheduled for a home birth so I don't have to bother trying to get there in time. We'll see what happens. I'm nearly 35 weeks and get them very, very strong all the time - so strong that when I am walking I have to stop and wait until it pa__ses. When sitting down, jsut very uncomfortable and almost painful, but very bearable.
