Has anyone been on on cervidil? How was your experience?

I was supposed to be induced with cervidil, however, I was having contractions and didn't know it when I went in for my induction so I was not able to get cervidil.

Cervidil is very evil. lol They tried to induce me with my first pg. I had cervidil the first day and potocin the second and only dilated 2 cm over 48 hrs. I ended up with a cs. For me the cervidil hurt. It hurt to put it in and it hurt to take it out. No one warned me that when your induced your contractions are much worse and stay right on top of each other. That was hard because you don't get a break. Everyone is different and you might not have a hard time like I did. I should also mention my induction was during a hurricane. We live in Florida and my stress level was thru the roof.

I was induced with cervidil for my last baby (3 weeks ago). It worked like a charm, however this was my third baby and I was more than two weeks overdue, both factors being in my favor. Although I was not dilated or effaced at all. They inserted it at 8 a.m. and by 10 I was in labor. The actual labor was quite awful, but I think that was not cervidil's fault, it was my baby's fault. He was 10 lbs and had a 39.5 cm head.
