I may have answered this on another forum, but here goes again!... Do a fetal movement test. Pick a random time of day, every day. If you smoke, wait an hour after you finish one, before you begin this test. Lay on your back or side with both hands on your tummy. Count movements until you have felt 10 of them. If you feel a bunch at a time, count as many as you can. Do this until you feel all 10 movements. If you haven't felt 10 movements in 2 hours, call your hospital. They may want you to go in for a stress test/ fetal monitoring. Make sure you give yourself the full 2 hours to complete the test, without interuptions. The test can take any where from 15 min. - 2 hours! Your doctor can give you a chart to record times and dates, or make one of your own. Make sure you write down time you started test, and time you finished test, and record in minutes or hours how long it took to complete the test... hope this helps.

hey sharon it is also good to do the fetal movement counting after you've had a meal because baby is supposed to be more active then. like"hello" said, lay down on your side and count movements until you get to ten. my doctor's office gave me a chart when i was 20 weeks to start this type of monitoring... maybe you should ask at your next visit if your doc would like you to start keeping track? hope this helps!
