My hips started hurting last night and today they ache so bad all I want to do is lay down on my side. It hurts to walk or move and I'm so tired. What do you think?

How far along are you? I'm just turning 34 wks and last week I've had so much pelvic pain. I think things are stretching out getting prepared. Just my guess! I'm starting to get miserable.

Hi Sam, the same thing started happening to me at about 33 weeks and I am now 35 weeks. I feel the same way. I was checked and the dr. told me that the pain was caused by the baby moving down and getting into position. For me it was not a sign of preterm labor but it is a sign that things are progressing and getting closer. Hope this helps.

I too have this problem. In the morning I can barely get out of bed because my hips hurt sooooo bad. I told this to my doctor and he said it was perfectly normal and that my bones are just shifting to get ready for labor...I am currently 34 weeks. I swear sometimes I swear I cannot walk. I am hoping that this means I will go just a couple weeks early...that's not asking too much haha!

It's not a sign of preterm labor. It's simply a sad fact of pregnancy, but it comes and goes. I hope you'll feel better soon.
