Just starting a new thread - the other one is getting a bit long....

iemc19 - March 13

Although ok I'm a dosh - as my kids would say - it should be part 4!!!

iemc19 - March 13

Anyways....I've been having really mild but regular contractions all weekend...probably about 7/8 an hour...but they aren't coming to anything...My dh just looked at me when I told him - I've never paid any attention to them or mentioned them in previous pregs cos thye're never sore - but as he pointed out even when I'm in proper labour they aren't sore!!!! So he's waiting for a call to abandon everything...while I've told him 'not a chance'!!! Jennifer I had a really bad cough last week ...and it has left me with such a pain on my left side...Originally it was just when I coughed - I'd have to stop when I felt a tickle and support mt bump to ease the discomfort...but now its there constant - its the side I sleep on too so its really sore and annoying...I'm in with my consultant tomorrow so I'll see what he has to say...A pulled muscle probably but could be interesting when it comes to pushing the bump out!! Ouch! As my dh pointed out after his 3 nightshifts from tomorrow, he has his 7 days off and baby should be making an appearance one way or the other - either through choice or through inducement...I was quite relieved to have it putr that way - all theses babies around this thread are making me very antsy!!! ; )

And....just so everyone moves to the shorter thread !! - I've been thinking about my drs 'request' that I deliver in the further away hospital....If I start myself and go to my local and they deem I have enough time to get to the other hospital..I then get put in the back of an ambulance, my dh has to drive behind in the car and we have to 'hope' that we do get to it in time...Otherwise we pull into a layby and deliver there in the ambulance!!!! Thrilling I'm sure - not - But as I said to Duggie - he is my pain relief - and is what keeps me occupied through the labour....fat lot of good he'll be if he's stuck behind us....So I'm really going in tomorrow to push for an inducement date....Can you imagine delivering in a layby????

hola, here i am, I wake up thinking that i won't be able to eat anything after 6 am until baby is delivered. So i am having a very ligth soup with some crakers and enough water. I don't mind skip the food for so long but drinkin liquids like water make thirsty already. Irene my hospital is about 55 miles from home. is far, it hink for the trraffic lights you can get there in about an hour 20 miniutes. I never though that as being a problem. So don't worry you will make it on time, i think as explain before you dh feels more confortable in the one is fartest. So you just think yaht you are going to malke it there. You know your body and you can listen to it.. Sonrisa mucha suerte para ti tambien. I hope you go at the same time so when i come back i have a lots news. Well i guess i am going back to bedd is 5:35 i am still have 25 minutes to decide if i want to eat something or not.. good sun rise LOL>..

Zaida - I thought you'd be away by now...I was kicking myself for missing you yesterday...All the best for today....Good luck and can't wait to see your wee boy!!

Sonrisa - March 13

Irene...I am still here. So this thread should be renamed... pretty much everyone is having their babies before the due date. I tell you it is making anxious. I have been having those cramps since yesterday but they are not that strong and they are an hour apart. My guess is that he will come between Wed. and St. Patty's Day. Still trying to decide if I should be induced on the 19th if he is not here. How are you feeling Irene?

amybaby2 - March 13

Hi everyone! sorry i was gone so long...that trip home from the hospital is very tiring. i am sorry i missed you ZAY !! to answer your question, i cried all night, so i didnt cope very well!! i hope and pray you are doing well.....you probably already have the baby. i cant wait to see him and hear from you!!! wow, waiting to go into labor...i am praying and thinking about you all!!! we made it home yesterday...i was very tired. i feel much better today! it is nice to have your b___sts wake you and tell you it is time for baby to eat instead of the nurses!!! jeremy is sleeping right now. my dd is staying home with us today, but she is still asleep too, so i have a few minutes to myself to chill!!! i will be checking in, keep us informed!

iemc19 - March 13

Bet you're glad to be home Amy...Nothing worse than m/wives/nurses setting you a routine...Its so nice to settle into your own that works for you at home....Alyson will be pleased to have you back too....Hey Sonrisa - You're right...everyone is deliveing so early....Be nice if we went the same way...Imagine sitting here at the end of the month still waiting....If I were you I'd go for the induction on Monday - but thats only because I've been there and done that - its maybe different if its your first?? Sunday is Mother's Day in the UK...Hope I don't go that day...the other kids would be disappointed if I weren't here for that....Although long lies don't really come into on those days..they are so excited they wake up really early..And I get told all the places NOT to look...Sweet!!....So... Just 3 of us left...My contractions are plentiful and regular but not intense enough to warrant anything...and I think they would probably stay that way for another week....Day 4 of them and they haven't progressed so why worry about it....Tried scrubbing the kitchen floor on my hands and knees today !! Haha!! But it made no difference...My baby is very comfortable where he/she is!! Pity the same can't be said for me!

OMG...OMG...OMG!!! I just got back from my dr appt. They checked me for decreased fetal movement because I made a little comment about the baby being busy. long story, short - - there was too much fluid, so they measured the baby. I'M HAVING A 9LB 11OZ BABY!

OMG...OMG...OMG!!! I just got back from my dr appt. They checked me for decreased fetal movement because I made a little comment about the baby being less busy. long story, short - - there was too much fluid, so they measured the baby. I'M HAVING A 9LB 11OZ BABY! You guys - I can't handle that - there's NO way. My dr is in surgery all day today, so I won't know anything until tomorrow. I've never talked to her about an elective Csection, but there's NO way I can deliver this kid v____ally. I'm freaking out!!

newbabyras - March 13

oops, sorry i put that in there twice...did i mention i'm a mess?

amybaby2 - March 13

newbaby...your dr would probably suggest a section, but those ultra sounds can be off be a pound!! remember they said jeremy was over 8.5 lbs, and he was only 7lbs14oz......you will be ok!!! AnD...i have to say, the section wasnt that bad!

Sonrisa - March 13

Wow! 9lbs. Actually my mli was telling me that my SIL was a 9lb and she had her v____ally. It can be done just more painful. I am guessing my little guy is about 8 1/2lb. So I might be in a similar situation than you. Irene...I went walking a little while ago and might do it again in an hour or so. I also cleaned the bathtub on all fours, have done my yoga poses, and am now drinking raspberry leaf tea. Any other suggestions? Oh and DH and I did get busy last night. We are trying it all to see if the baby comes before Monday....if not, then I think I might agree to be induced. Newbaby...hang in there. Let us know what happens. Good Luck Zaye.

Dr's office just called. I have an appt on Thurs to discuss my "options." I think the nurse was afraid to say c-section, but I'd be really grateful if that was an option. Amy and Gretta - how are you healing? I've heard you can't lift the baby for a while after - is that true? Do you have lots of help? Son and Irene - I feel bad I may be leaving you soon - - we really did jinx this by t_tling it - I"m measuring with a due date of March 9. Thanks you guys for being there!!!
