why does the doctor measure the lenght of your bellie? I am 29 weeks now - what should my measurment be ?

The doctor measures your belly to see how big your utrus is, which will give him a rough idea of how pregnant you are , so if you are 29 weeks then you should measure 29cm, you roughly grow 29cm a week, but you can be over or under by 2 cm, hth,

OOPs i meen you grow roughly a cm a week , not 29 a week lol,

name - September 30

so if you're a couple cms more it wouldn't mean your dates are off or anything right? just that ur baby may be a bit bigger?

look on the web site they will tell you how far above your belly b___ton your uterus should be that is why the measure to make sure that the baby is growing adaquetly within the uterus and making sure that your uterus is the proper size with the corresponding date Good luck to you
