My Birth Experience

Hello all, Hope this helps for some of you out there. I had my baby boy about a week ago and we both are doing great. My labor was a breeze and can't stress enough to you all that exercise helped a lot. I had walked on the treadmill throughout my pregnancy and therefore my labor was not just easy but also, I recovered within 2 days. I did take epidural to ease the contraction but I got the baby out naturally without any vacc_m. I really think that exercise helped a lot in strengthening my muscle. So everyone out there please exercise if not every day try every other day. I was walking at 3.8 mile/hour until 36 weeks and then 3.3 until very end. Good luck to everyone and hope this helps.

how many miles were you walking every day? I do 3 miles about 3-4 days a week.

Congrats! It's definately heartening to hear someone say labour was a breeze, I'm crossing my fingers I can say the same when my time finally comes! I'm also hoping the exercise will get me through too... I was working out regularly at the gym (treadmill 30 mins at 4.0 mi/h and weights) until 36 weeks, and since then I had to cut it down to just walking around my neighborhood for about 30 mins due to back & pelvic pain... I think any exercise is better than none at all!
