Hi Jenn82, Do not worry, your baby is going to be fine! I was really worried about my baby and apparently he is fine... From what I read it is very normal for moms to be extremelly worried about her baby's well-being as the "final time" approaches. Did your doctor performed the tests at the first trimester (nuchal ultrasound, Triple Serum Test, etc...). Do not worry Jenn but I attached a link where you can find more information http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/dd/mr3.htm This website is an official website. Please, think positively and if you have been performed the tests and you have been taking care of yourself it is very unlikely. Everything is going to be fine.

thankyou so much, i feel a little better now i sure hope everything will be fine i did have those tests and they came back fine so i guess im worring my self silly , how many weeks pregs are you??

HI Jenn, I am 27 weeks pregnant. It is normal to worry. Believe me, I felt horrible for three weeks at the begining of my pregnancy. I would cry because of the uncertainty. I even changed doctors because my previous doctor "forgot" telling me about some of the tests that could have been performed. Finally, I went to another doctor (a feminist female doctor) who helped me a lot and did all the tests. The likelihood of us having a baby with mental retardation is very unlikely. We have to be positve, and think that our little ones will be fine. How far in your pregnancy are you?

im 34 weeks do you know if your having girl or boy? mines a little boy, is this your first baby? i cant believe how close it is getting, im so scared and excited all at the same time lol, how are you feeling?

sfrias - June 13

Hi Jenn, I am having a boy as well... I am so scared... I am an only child and I do not have any experience with children. To be honest, I am do scared about the final day... Everybody tells me that almost all women have gone through this, but it does not help... Yes, it is my first baby. Are you scared as well about pain on the "final day"?

yes definetly, you here so many diferernt stories my baby is still breech and im really scared of c sections how old are you?if you dont mind me asking, what country are you in?

Hi Jenn, I am 30, I am originally from Barcelona (Spain), although since 2000 I live in Austin, Texas. I am finishing my doctoral dissertation, and I came to the U.S. to go to shool. In the meanwhile, I meet my husband, I got married and now I am pregnant with my first child. How about you? Are you planning a C-section?

jenn82 - June 13

oh cool! no im definetley not planning a c section i just dont want to be told i have to have one, but i cant see why i would need one im just a worrier, i live in austrralia and im 24. have you got a name picked out yet? im thinking about the name Liam but i keep changing my mind, was your husband happy when you got pregnant?

sfrias - June 13

Liam is a good name. We already picked up the name. My baby will be named Diego. My husband and I were very happy when we got pregnant. I was planned ahead of time since we both are graduate students, but we did not think that it was going to happen so fast. It is considered that graduate student have more problems than the normal population for getting pregnant because of the stress... We were lucky, I guess... My husband is very happy about having a baby, but I am a little bit concerned about all the changes that his arrival will bring... I always thought having a C-Section, but after watching a show on TV about C-Sections... Forget it!!!! I hope that I do not need one. We will be completely fine... you'll see. Is your baby's father being emotionally supportive?
