Painful Movements At 39 Weeks

I have noticed the babys movements have definately decreased which is normal at this stage, but tonight it has been moving very strong and frequently, it causes sharp twinges in my groin area when its head pushes down there. It feels as though it has shifted down, and i have had lots of strong BH but thats it. I see the doc tomorrow, i was just wondering if anyone else experienced a sudden increase in movement et this stage.

I AM ALSO 39 WKS PREGNANT. THE BABY IS MOVING LIKE CRAZY TONIGHT. SHE WILL GO A DAY OR TWO WITHOUT MOVING LIKE THIS, AND THEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN FOR LIKE AND HOUR OR SO, SHE WILL MOVE NON STOP. ONE OF THE THINGS I WAS WONDERING IS COULD YOU DESCIBE THE PAIN SENSATION. THAT IS WHY I AM ON THE INTERNET TONIGHT. I FEEL VERY SHARP TWINGES OF PAIN THAT SEEM TO FEEL AS IF THE BABY'S ARM OR SOMETHING ELSE IS MOVING AROUND DOWN THERE TRYING TO ESCAPE. IS THAT HOW YOU WOULD DECRIBE IT?

I'm also 39 weeks pregnant and I'm due today. I have real bad stomach ache pain. I'm wondering what this could be? I know the difference between contractions and this pain. I'm kinda worried.

I am having the same wild movements, almost like the baby is really hyper, Im not having any contractions though. I am 38 weeks. Let me know if you find anything out on this, I am very curious, maybe these babies are just trying to find their way out (I hope!!) Good luck :)

I'm almost 39 weeks and am feeling a similar sensation. I get sharp pains in my groin and sometimes I feel like she is just pushing with her hands near my groin. If I am sitting, I can feel it on my leg. Very strange! I have lots of BH contractions but doctor hasn't said that she has really dropped yet. Getting excited!

I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow, and just last night, it felt like the baby was trying to punch through my cervix or boxing my bladder. It was non stop movement for close to 2 hours. It was so unusual and the movement was so strong (it actually hurt—like a sharp burning sensation every few minutes) that it actually had me worried. After laying on my side for a little bit, the baby finally settled down. I think because the baby is more engaged in the pelvis, the movements are more noticable down there. Hopefully, he or she will be on the outside soon! Good luck, ladies!

My due date is in 3 days. I know the pain you're talking about. My OB said it was the baby's head pushing against your pelvic floor. Mine has been doing it for a week or two now.
