painting during pregnancy is not recommended at all... it's not just the fumes, it's also the stretching movements and your change of balance (do not climb on a ladder!) my advice: let your husband do it for you! don't do it yourself, at least not until the baby is born...

I am almost 18 weeks along and I am a Faux finisher that works with all different types of paints , tints and other wall textured products. My OB has told me to limit my work with those products , but there is little I can do. My boss has told me she cant hire help for me and to do the work ( not to caring) I am broke , pregnant and now very upset... I need to make money.. but I dont want a sick baby at all. What should I do?

I watch a lot of Trading Spaces on TV and everytime that they have a pregnant women on the show they always make her wear a heavy duty gas mask (not just a paper one but one with actual filters). this will take care of the fumes possibley but you still have to deal with stretching and balance. Don't do it alone, and don't be afraid to ask for help. Oh, and always clear with your doctor
