Percentiles

Pregnant women are always talking about "percentiles" of their belly-size. And once the baby is born, Moms talk about the percentiles of the babies size. Can somebody please explain this to me? Ta!

If your baby is in the 95th percentile for weight, it means that your baby's weight is greater than or equal to 95% of babies his/her age. Only 5% of babies the same age weigh more than your child. I hope this helps:)
