I had that last week too for an entire day it even was in my lower back. I talked to my doctor an he said unless you are feeling actual contractions you can time than its nothing to be worried about and to drink more water. I honestly felt like I was going to get my period.

Oh god this is the story of my life for the past week or so...and I'm still "with child" so not to disappoint you but don't get your hopes up....I've had so many false trigger signs this month its unbelievable. False labor, 3 times, mucus plug, show, achey back, feeling nauseated, and cramps all around. So it could happen any time, but I am still watiing. How far along are you by the way?

I woke up last night in pain with these period like cramps. Are they real contractions?? The pain lasted 1 minute each time and was about 6 minutes apart and then they stopped?!?!? I hope they at least helped me dilate some or something so they weren't a waste!!

Oh the doc said that real contractions are felt up through the top of your uterus and anything that is down low like a period cramp is nothing to worry about. Its my first so I have no idea? Anyone who gave birth know how to tell if it is a real contraction?

i am 39 weeks and this is my third. this is my first i am doing on my own, i was induced two times before. i never had to play the guessing game.i have an appointment tommorrow so i hope my doctor will tell me where i am at or strip my membraines. I love having my baby so close and i know he is less work now but i am starting to hate getting dressed in the morning, i have nothing left to wear. even though hubby has to wait 6 weeks after baby is born i feel bad he is sticking it to a harpooned whale..lol and if one more person asks me how i feel i think i am going to screem.

OH god!!! This is what I have to look forward too...LOL I am only 32 weeks. KM- I hope you are having real contractions!!!! I am kind of giggling at your description of life at 39 weeks but believe me I won't be when I am right there too...How are you feeling? Just kidding!!!

I had my appt. today and asked about the period like cramps I had last night. My doctor said that is what they feel like in really really really early labor. So, I guess I have nothing to be excited about. I also had the cramps (not as strong though) during my non stress test today and nothing showed up on the monitor as a contraction. I also didn't dilate anymore...still "almost a fingertip". How disappointing. I go back on saturday for another NST and to pick a day to induce next week. What fun..I'm so disappointed in my body!! Obviously the s_x didn't help to dilate or efface me at all!!

KM - LOL - that last post about ppl asking how you're feeling is so funny! hahah...I'm at the point now that I just ignore phone calls sometimes...honestly btw my mom and hubby's mom they are driving me absolutely crazy....how many times can you ask? When I go into labor you'll hear about it ERRRRRR!!! Why can't that be fine? And yeah, getting up in the morning is such a complete pain and so frustrating...I am stuck to wearing my jogging pants only, and I haved about 2 shirts that barely fit now since my belly has totally dropped so far down!! I HATE the thought of going out in public too...I have a doc's appt tomorrow morning so I am really really hoping they are going to at least check me for dialation or SOMETHING....I feel like next tuesday will take forever to get here...and I'm just so irritable!! Ok, that rant is over hahaha...good luck :)
