Poking Too Much

I am 38 weeks along and am always talking or rubbing my stomach throughout the day and lately, I have been able to tell if it is an arm moving or a leg or if its her little butt sticking out one side by feeling around. I can even move her over or out of a position if she is kicking into my ribs but is it ok for me to be doing this? I worry that I will hurt her or move something wrong? Has anyone ever heard of this happening?

It won't hurt your baby in the least. The baby is surrouned by so much fluid and in the placenta, that it is really hard to injure your child by poking and rubbing your stomache. Poke away!! That was one of my favorite things about being pregnant.

We asked our nurse in prenatal cla__s if poking is o.k.... and she said it's no problem. In fact it's a good form of early communication. My baby quickly moves out of the way when I push on him... I must drive him nuts!?!
