Preg And Needing A Cough Medicine

I am desperately needing a cough suppressant..I have been using the humidifyer, and HALLS like crazy...I need a little something to get some rest to get better...it has been 5 days...and there is no greenish mucous...only creammy white...so I know I'm not seriously sick...ANY suggestions would be SOOOO helpful! Thanks

Hi my dr said I could take just regular plain robitussin when I was pregnant. Try rubbing Vicks Vapor Rub on your chest also. That helped me when I was sick. Hope you feel better soon!!

Heather, I hope you get better, I think you should ask your dr about this, even some over-the-counter medicines are not goog for your baby. When I got a cold back in december I also rubbed vick vapor and drank decaf lemon tea with lots of honey and extra squeezed lemon It took me a while to get better but I didn't want to take anything for the sake of my baby.

Hi Heather, I had lictus syrup, the doctor said this was fine, and ust to take the regular dose. My cough cleared up in a couple of days, also i rank hot water with honey and lemon in aswell. Hope you feel better soon

Have you tried Delsym? It's sort of hard to find, but works like a charm with one dose lasting 12 hours. My sis-in-law is a pharmacist and says it's one of the best cough medicines for pregnant women.
