for some reason im horribly scared of having a 10 lb baby! pre pregnancy i was 130, now 162. i was just wondering what your pregnancy gain was, then what your baby weighed when you gave birth?

wow. I was 135 prepregnancy and now weigh 171. I sure would like to know the same thing as I have gained 36 lbs and I am only 33 weeks along.

I don't think that your weight gain has much to do with the baby's weight at all. With my first, I weighed 130 and topped out at 181at my 39th week appt. Two days later, I had my daughter and she weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 18.5 inches long. :o)

I gained 50 lbs, all belly, and gave birth to a 9 lb. 8 oz. baby girl. The labor wasn't that bad, I didn't even have an epidural, so don't worry too badly about your baby's size. I've heard that weight gain can have some to do with how big your baby is, but not much.

I gained 35 pounds, and my daughter weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. when she was born (10 days early).

With #1 I gained 60lbs and she weighed 7lbs 6oz. With #2 I gained 25lbs and she weighed 8lbs 14 oz. This little guy I gave birth to on June 1 weighed 9lbs 10 oz and I gained 27lbs.

My first child I weighed 137 before and gained 30 pounds and she was 8lbs 3oz, 20 inches long. My second child I weighed 137 before and gained 27 pounds and she weighed 9lbs 8oz, 22 inches long.

Hi your weight gain doesn't indicate the weight of the baby. i was 90ls when in preg #1 and by the end i was a whopping 150 and my son was only 6 lbs 3 ounces....this time around i was 113lbs am up to 128 and the baby's weight at 32 weeks is 3 lbs. i don't suspect i'll have a huge baby this time around..but you never know! good luck

One of my best friends was a 10 pound baby at birth. Her mom is really small and pet_te, and only gained 22 pounds with her. I was a 9 pound 4oz baby, and my mom gained 32 pounds total with me. So, I would say based on what I have heard.....it does not have much to do with it. The only way I think it can effect the size of the baby is if you have GD b/c apparently the baby will store more fat.

let me add one more comment to my above post......Even with GD the only way your baby MIGHT be a little bigger is if you do not control your sugar levels. If you are watching it.....you should be fine.
