Does anyone have any opinions about br___t pumps? They are so expensive and I don't know anything about anything. Which ones are good? Anything will help.

I used the Medela Pump in Style Advance....I bought this one because I was unable to b___stfeed my DS because he couldn't figure out how to latch and his jaundice was so bad we had to pretty much feed and back to the lights for 3 days....we never learned. I pumped for 5 1/2 months then I moved 500 miles and it was hard on me (STRESSFUL) and I wasn't making much supply anymore.

You first have to think about what you need a pump for. For instance do you need it b/c you are going back to work or do you plan to pump just every once and a while? I have a medela swing and i love it, but it is only a single pump so if you needed to pump a lot it wouldn't be good, you would want what like Jilloh has. They (pumps in general) are expensive but it is worth it to have a good pump that gets the milk out fast without killing your nipples.

i found babies r us.com helpful as far as checking out the reviews for a lot of pumps. just go under b___st pumps and there are hundreds of moms on there that share their experiences with every b___st pump.

I was going to buy one but after talking to the salesperson at Babies R Us, I decided to rent one from the hospital. She said that some people end up not liking the pump, and instead of wasting the money on one, to try it out first. I don't want to spend $350 on a pump that I may not like. The hospital usually has really nice ones. Just a thought.
