Sensitive Issue

My husbands daughters from his first marriage are named Diamynd, Cinymon and Luvlie!!! I adore them but with those names I wont be surprised if they grow up to be strippers!!! I just found out we are having a girl and it is our first child together, we haven't discussed names but how do I approach this issue and tell him sensitivly that names like that don't fly ithout offending his daughters names but being clear!!!!

I would try to approach very lightheartedly - "hey, you got your chance, now it's my turn to pick a name!" Once you decide on something you like, just let him know how important that name is to you (even if you have to pretend it's some tribute to someone). I don't think you should ever have to mention his other daughter's names....which by the way, wow, what were they thinking?!?!

Was it even his idea what to name the girls? Maybe he was talked into it or it was a mutual agreement. If it was mutual, or his ex's idea, then it shouldn't be a problem. I don't think you have anything to worry about- you will come up with a Luvlie name for your daughter together!!
