I too lost my mucous plug about 35 weeks. I haven't been able to have s_x for a week or so since because it just hurt too much for me. My OB told me you could have s_x up till birth, however long you are comfortable doing it.

You can have s_x if it's comfortable and if your water isn't broken. If the sac of water hasn't broken there is no chance of infecton to your unborn baby. Actually having s_x will help to ripen the cervix. I lost my mucus plug Wednesday and I'm only dilated to 2cm s_x isn't the most comfortable, but Monday I was only at 1cm. I think it's helping. Good luck!

I am not even in the mood for s_x at 38 1/2 weeks, but I am making my fiance give it up because I will do anything to help this baby out!! :0), he knows that though and it trying to hold back!! :0)
