SHARP STOMACH PAIN

My wife is in her third trimester now. We are having twins. She's 24 months into the pregnancy. She's been complaining about a sharp pain on the right side of the stomach. What could be the problem?

she may want to get ahold of her doctor, I had the same thing on the left side almost felt like stabbing pains. not much else and i was told to go to labor and delivery to get checked out and i was 50 % effaced and a centimeter dialated. after they checked me i started feeling alot more pelvic pressure and it ended up being contractions. they now have me on medication to stop the contractions and bed rest and they gave me a series of 4 steriod shots to help develop the baby's lungs they now give me 2 weeks and think that we will then have our little boy! any way I would just call and check it out with your doctor better safe than sorry! and it may be something or nothing but i would still say call and see what they have to say! Good luck to you!

I too had a sharp pain on the right side of my tummy. It started off as pain and got worse as the day went on. At like 2AM it was horrible so I went to the hospital and they told me it was a torn ligament. That was at 30 weeks preggo. I would get it checked out just in case.

I also had the same thing but it was on my left side and the doctor told me that it was my ligaments stretching so much. There isnt much they can do for it.

I am not having twins but I got that same pain. If it doesnt go away after awhile maybe you should check with your doctor but if it last a couple of days its just one of the babys pushing on something or her stomach is stretching
