Sipping Wine

I have a question that has been bugging me for a while. I'm Catholic and we have a sip of wine every Sunday at mass. Is this bad for my baby? I've asked many elders and they say no but I can't help but feel guilty with all the congregation staring at my belly and me sipping wine. What do you think?

absolutely not :) It's even safe to have an occasional gla__s of wine to relax. I spacifically asked my doc. about this several times. I also take wine with my communion...God bles you and your baby!

We get so worked up about wine during pregnancy in this country! In Europe, it's not uncommon for pregnant women to have a gla__s of wine a day. I'm not saying you should go out and do THAT, but a sip of wine at communion is fine. God Bless!!

I'm Catholic too. Drink your communion wine. Have a gla__s with dinner occasionally. It's actually healthy in moderation. Drink up!

I'm Catholic as well and every Sunday when I go to communion, I also take the wine. Don't feel bad. I get stared at 2, especially when I have both of my little girls (2.5 and 4 yrs old) hiding under my big belly when they try to bless them. haha

I too am Catholic and no it wont hurt the baby. But you dont have to drink the wine if you dont want to.

My husband's mother used to have at least a gla__s of wine a week when she was pregnant with him. He's a brilliant engineer. Must have done something right...
