Hmmm...., what is average? I was once told that I have a short cervix and then was told by a different doctor that is was not shorter than normal! Once your body is ready to have that baby, your cervix is going to thin out and become shorter and dialate. I really don't think the length of it has anything to do with how long your labor will be. This usually depends on if you are having your first or not. The first birth usually takes the longest and subsequent births are shorter. Everyone is different though. At 25 weeks it is not uncommon for baby to be breach. They say that by 35 weeks the baby usually will stay in whatever position it is in. You have time for your baby to turn! If it does not, your care provider can try and manually turn the baby, which works a lot of the time. Otherwise, you may be looking at a C-section. Try not to worry about your cervix or the baby. You have awhile to go and your body knows what to do!
