Something Wrong With My Babys Size

i am 28 weeks and have been told that the baby will almost double in size within the last 10 weeks of pregnancy.. is this true? i am a very small build and have a noticeable tummy, though i am getting upset when i hear "so and so is 18 weeks and soo much bigger than you!" (i am 28 weeks) i keep telling these people (and myself at the same time) that everyone is different.. but my god its hard because i get so anxious and worried that something might be wrong with my baby and her growth.. any advice?

Quit listening to everyone's well-meaning advice. Every woman's body is different, and how much your pregnancy shows depends on your shape before you got pregnant, your muscle tone, and whether or not it is your first baby. Your doctor is probably measuring your fundal height at each appointment (from your pubic bone up to the top of your uterus) and that is a much more reliable indicator of your baby's growth than people's opinions. Anyone who's ever had a baby or seen a pregnant woman walking down the street thinks they're an expert, but you and your doctor are the only ones who really know how you're doing. It's funny...once your baby is born, you'll hear "so and so's baby is the same age as yours, and can already speak in sentences, or is potty-trained at six months, or some other baloney"...learning to ignore people's advice while you're pregnant is good practice for being a parent. You and your baby will be fine, and you'll be amazed at how much bigger you can get over the next couple of months.
