I am starting to get quite large, and I'm affraid that when I'm sitting or sleeping that I could be squashing the baby. Is that even possible?

Well, all that padding is there for a reason =o) to protect the baby. If it is uncomfortable for you, its prolly uncomfortable for the baby. Of course depending on the person. They say to avoid sleeping on your back as it increases pressure, and your right side due to blood flow. If you arent having any complications... my doctor said, "whatever helps you sleep". I'm a pretty light sleeper, so if it hurts, or becomes uncomfortable I just move. Use a lot of pillows to help prop me up. The other day I tried getting a ball out from under the couch for our puppy, and I couldnt reach it, I tried getting down on my stomach but it hurt too much, so i just went and grabbed a broom to swoop it out =o).

Agree with Swtpea; you will feel very unconfortable yourself before you get to damage the baby. I guess nature designed our bodies to protect our babies from their "potential" worst predators: their mommies! LOL
