I just found out today that I tested positive for strep b. My doctor told me that it is very common and that once I go into labor, they'll treat me with antibiotics through an IV. I'm stll kinda worried. Can someone who's been a carrier please give me some feedback. Thanks :o)

There's nothing to worry about. It's just as your dr said. They will give you antibiotics when you get to the hospital (You should remind them as soon as you get there) and that will clear up the bacteria so it will be safe for baby to pa__s through. Before they knew about strep B, lots of babies got very sick, but now hardly any do. My daughter was fine. Just keep in mind that if you think your water has broken it's important to go straight to the hospital so they can get the antibiotics started to keep the bacteria from getting up into the uterus. Hope all goes well!
