Super Acitve Baby 36 Wks

Hi. I'm about 36 wks along, and my baby has become increasingly active. He always moved a lot (he started kicking at 16 wks), but he slowed down a little at 30 wks, and his head was always down so I thought I was safe. Last week I thought he was dropping because he was lower and I could feel a lot of pressure. But for the past week, he has moved back up and he flips around constantly. He's not just kicking, but actually moving so that his head is sometimes up, sometimes down. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought he was supposed to slow down at this point!

Has your doctor confirmed that he is actually moving up and flipping around? M lil boy is the exact same way, so I asked my doctor if he was actually moving out of position and she said no. What I thought was his head up higher was actually his b___t, and on the other side that I thought was his b___t was his shoulders. Any who, he is a serious mover and shaker, but doctor says that means that he is healthy and strong! They also tease me and call him hyperactive in the womb because his heartbeat is usually around 150-155. Good Luck! BTW, I am 37 weeks.

I wasn't sure that it was his head either, but he gets the hiccups a lot and then I know for sure where his head is. My little boy's heatbeat is always between 150-155 too. My husband and I are preparing for quite a handful!

Erin- where do you feel the hiccups? My baby gets them at least 3 times per day, and I always feel them very low on my left side...I think they are so cute! I can just imagine his squished little face bouncing around in there...hee hee...

Hi Jen. I feel the hiccups wherever he happens to be at the time. They used to be always on the lower left side too, but now it can be pretty much anywhere. I think they're cute too, but when his face is up against my belly they seem so violent, I feel so bad for him!

Sounds like we have some active little boys. I'm 35 weeks and my baby is a boy, he moves constantly also. I keep reading that they are supposed to slow down, but it sure hasn't happened for me. He loves to push against the front of my stomach and make lumps and bumps show. My husband thinks it looks like an alien trying to pop out of my stomach like a horror movie, we both just watch him facinated by it. I tell the baby all the time you can't get out that way go down!
