What do you think of women who get their babies names tattooed on them? I don't have any tattoos, but was planning on getting one sometime in the next year. I think I might get something (SMALL) that REMINDS me of my daughter, but I don't know what I think of getting her name. ??

hey i heard someone say this and it stuck. this is soooooo AWSOME. and i am so not into tattoos well at least i don't have any because i haven't seen one that i would want on my body for the rest of my life. this i would do. GET BABY'S FOOTPRINT TATTOOED ON YOU, MAYBE WITH THE NAME BY IT. HOW CUTE IS THAT. OH, I JUST LOVE IT.

I'm not for getting names tattoo'd on you unless it is your kids name!! I say NEVER get a guys name (even your DH's name) tattoo'd on you because you never know when they will leave you, but your kids are you kids forever!! I plan on getting my sons (2) and my baby girls names tattoo'd on me after she is born...I'm not sure where, but its going to happen!!

My daugther was really into winnie the pooh so when she was about 2, so I got a picture of winnie the pooh with her name and birthday under it. She is 11 now and I still get a lot of compliments on it.

I think its definatly tasteful! My husband is wanting to get our daughter's name tattoo'ed on him..Her name is going to be Sky when she is born and he is going to get a shooting star with her name under it. I thought it might be cute if we got matching tattoos of that. as for the foot print, I know a girl that got her son's footprint tattoo'ed on top of her foot with his name and date of birth, I think that is cute. I agree with Tammy, you should never get someone's name tattoo'ed on you unless its your kid's names...But I also Plan on getting a memorial tattoo for my aunt who pa__sed away a year ago..it will be of a sunflower (that was her favourite flower) with her Name and dates incorporated into it.

Oh, MommyMeg... here's some good advice that I remember reading awhile back on Infant Care. Don't ever get a tattoo anywhere that is likely to get stretch marks in future pregnancies... it will end up looking funky lol.

I've been thinking of getting one and I'd heard the foot print idea, I'm thinking about getting her foot print in black with her name in pink, I think getting children's names tattooed is tasteful...

to get a guys names on you is tacky. however your child is forever. just like when you see a guy with MOM tattooed on his arm, he obviously cares for his mom. i do have a tattoo on the side of my hip and currently into my second pg. i didn't get any stretch marks with the first pg and haven't had any with the second that would distort it. But something to think of because stretch marks can happen any where i would wait until you are done with the baby making to decide on where you want you're permnament family art to be placed! : )

Already planning mine and my bf's tattoos, and have 4 more months to go til she's even born. I already have quite a few large tattoos covering my arms and back, so of course I wouldn't think it's tacky. My family does though. hehe

I don't have any tattoos either but i feel they are a beautiful display of art on the body, and what better way to display art on your body than w/ something that will remind you of your precious baby....
