To Wash Or Not To Wash

Do I really need to wash all the baby bedding and clothes beforehand?

I would, you don't know who have handled them, before you..even at the factory.Besides being stiff and itchy..you know the brand new thing. It would be so much nicer to have them be so soft ,fresh and clean for all reasons.Just my opinion in how I have handled this in the past.Good Luck on your new arrival.

I would definitely wash the bedding and newborn clothes. I'm holding off on washing the 3-6 and 6-9 month clothes until she can wear them.

definately wash the stuff. you don't know how your baby will react to the smells. he/she may have an allergic reaction or be sensitive to the smells. so, i would wash them to be safe.

also, when you wash them, use a detergent for babies or an odor free detergent because the baby might be sensitive to that also. you never know. i'd rather be safe than sorry. good luck.

Definelty - You want to make sure that everything is off of them you don't want you little one exposed to. Some of the clothing could still contain some chemicals used for making the clothes and like someone previously said, you dont know who has handled them or if they have been at someones house and returned...you just never know - better safe than sorry.
