UTI At 35 Weeks

So I told my doc yesterday at my appt that I was peeing constantly and even if I only drank a little, I felt like I was going to p___s my pants like now. After dinner the other night I cut off all liquids until 10 a.m. the next morning at work. Well needless to say I probably peed over 20 times after dinner and during the night and in the morning at work. She said I had protein in my urine and were running more tests but prescribed me 500 mg of Amoxicillin 3 x per day. Anyone else have this happen? I hope I get some relief. I was able to take two doses yesterday and was only up twice last night to pee. I thought it was normal but I guess not! Oh and then she said she'd see me in two more weeks! WTF? Last time she told me it would be every week but she changed her mind I guess. Dammit! So I won't even start seeing her weekly till I'm 37 weeks. Makes me nervous. She said I was measuring 36 wks too. I'll probably pop this kid out before my 37 wk appt! Would be nice but I'm not prepared! Well like who really is.....no stretch marks yet. It'd be nice to avoid those. Ha ha!

LOL.... Heidi..Heidi...Heidi... I can't thank you enough for the laughs =) I'll probably pop my baby out before I get in there weekly or get an internal too..ha! sorry about the UTI :( I had one in July, around 27 weeks...they kept me in the hosp. for a day bc I was so dehydrated and they re-hydrated me....then put me on antibiotics too. It's no fun...sorry you're going through that. but...maybe, just maybe, now you won't pee all the time and smell like an "old p__s bag" as you put it :) LOL....

Oh I know! I reek all the time! I didn't notice much leaking last night so maybe it'll help. I hope! I didn't really notice the UTI but I think it's been getting worse the last week or so cus I won't drink anything for hours and then all of a sudden it sort of stings like I really have to go. I've gotten UTIs before and they usually got so bad I felt like I was dying! This one isn't bad. I just thought it was a normal pregnancy deal. Guess not. I'm definately not dehydrated. I look like a Stay Puff Marshmallow. Ha ha! I gained like 5 lbs in two weeks too. Christ. She said that's just fine though cus I didn't look it. It's all in my belly. Last night it was nice and cool out so I took the dog for a nice long walk. It felt great. Oh gosh you had to stay in the hospital? I bet that was no fun. She said she'd call me with the results today but they did notice protein yesterday but was going to run a full test today but got me the meds right away. Yep, I'll probably pop her out by 37 wks and she'll be like, oh well that was quick! She said I was measuring 36 wks and maybe I'll deliver early. Gee, so why not see me next week! Good lord! Ow well. I'm one minute from the hospital. Not like it matters but now I'll be nervous leaving town. Ha ha!

why are you leaving town?? I don't even feel like leaving my livingroom :) when I had my UTI I also had some kind of intestinal virus (the runs and throwing up) which is why I went to the ER in the first place...I didn't even know I had a UTI....just couldn't stop poopin' ...oh well... it totally sucked! I'm glad you feel ok :) since we have the same due date and apparently the same "who cares, that's normal" att_tude from our doctors...it will be fun to see who has their baby first...LOL.. :)

Oh I'm not. Just to go shopping and that kind of stuff. We live in a small town so you kind of have to drive 30 minutes to get to a Walmart and that kind of c___p. Ha ha! Yep we'll have to see who pops first! Guess I better take another horse pill. I hope there's no side effects on the baby. I'm sure there's not but ya hear about all these women who get infections and their docs won't give them anything! I read that a lot in the other posts and the women were just miserable. I wonder why? Mine was just like, oh we'll give you this or that. Hmmmm.....oh gosh, the runs and throwing up? You poor thing!!!! I tried cutting myself off liquids for a day just to see if the swelling in my body would go down. Nope. My doc said that's actually worse cus you'll retain fluid. Duh. Ha ha!

Heidi-thanks for the laughs! I had a UTI at 35 weeks that put me into preterm labor! I didn't even know I had it. Anyways they put me on antibiotics and stopped the labor and now I am 39 weeks and no baby! HOpe the antibiotics help though and you start feelign better. And hopefully no baby before your first internal exam.

I have noticed I've been sort of crampy below my belly area and get some weird pains and it just wasn't feeling right. Hopefully this goes away soon with the antibiotics. It sure is annoying but not nearly as bad as some I've had. I swear I've had them so bad I thought I was gonna pa__s out on the toilet! Ha ha!
