Weight Loss In Last Few Weeks Of Pregnancy

I am 37 weeks today and I have lost 6 pounds in the last week and a half. I know it's normal to lose weight in the last month, but I was just curious if it's happening to anyone else. I was considered slightly underweight when I was first pregnant and gained around 34 pounds, but have now lost 6. I had the flu for a few days and since then I've had a hard time eating, but I am still trying to eat enough. Anyone else losing weight? My doctor didn't even say anything about it at my last appt. Good luck with your pregnancies ladies!

cyclemom - i haven't lost weight, but i haven't gained any weight either and i'm 34.5 weeks... that's very unusual for me because every month i would gain about 4-6 lbs and now i've gone a whole month w/out gaining anything... i've gained a total of 35 lbs, so i wouldn't mind just staying where i'm at right now.. i'm not eating less or anything.... just think that baby will take whatever it needs from you, i wouldn't be too worried about losing weight.. :)

With my last pregnancy I only put on 2 pounds in my 3rd trimester. I instead put on all my weight in the second (about 12 pounds a month). My midwife was not concerned at all and I my son was almost 8 pounds at birth. You know yourself if youre eating well and feeling good. For me I think that i was eating less because of appauling indigestion...but I obviously still ate enough to be well. I am now 23 weeks into my second pregnancy and so far my weight gain has been very very similar.

I was loosing about a pound a week at all my last appointments, even though I had a big appet_te. I was a bit concerned aobut the baby too, but I just gave birth to a 8 pound 1 ounce baby on Saturday!
