ok so I gained quite a bit during my preg (Im 2 weeks postpartum now) I started preg at 110-115, I went up to 150, I'm down to 133 at the moment. My question is....does anyone know how long it takes to lose all the extra pregnancy weight NOT caused by fat and besides the br___t tissue/milk? I mean all the retained water and blood volume, as I've obviously lost the baby/placenta/amniotic fluid weight by now...is the rest of this all fat I have to lose..or am I still losing water weight?

It'll take anywhere from six months to a year to SAFELY go back to your original weight. Don't worry about it. We were made to be padded extra to give birth & to b___stfeed & such. I bet you're a very comfortable mom for your baby to relax into.

Lindsay- Do not worry. Even though you have probably heard this a million times......its true..... Everyone's bodys are different, and every woman's body responds differently with each pregnancy. I know some people who the weight fell off within 6 weeks after giving birth.....and some took 6 months or so. Just continue to eat healthy and walk with you little one now that spring is around the corner.

After about 6 weeks postpartum you'll probably have lost all of the extra fluids, etc. If you are b___stfeeding you'll need extra calories, so you'll keep a few extra pounds on and may even gain a little more as you adjust your eating when you're all done b___stfeeding. The rest is fat that should be gone within a year. Remember it took 9 months to gain it! 150 is actually really good! I gained about 75 lbs with my first and lost most of it within a year.
