I really don't think its means labor is on its way. I am 34 weeks and have been getting menstrual like cramps for a few weeks now..it could be BH contractions.

I had that wed last week , so on my appt I asked my dr. and he said that , if they are not regular it is normal, that the uterus is a muscle and that it may be getting sored from the pressure and weight ... but mine was just for like an hour and just that day , and not like heavy flow cramp ... maybe you can take it a little slower and try to rest when ever you get them ... Hope everything goes ok...

I think it is different for everyone. I would keep a eye on it and mayeb time between pains and make sure it is regular. With my daughter i had this, i woke up that mornign with severe back pain and what felt like menstral cramping and by 4pm my water broke and i had to go to the hospital. I gave birth to her at 3:34 am the next morning at 36 1/2 weeks. She weighed in at 6lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long.

It can also be dehydration or fatigue...I have heard doctors recommending drinking some water and resting to see if that helps. It may also be that as your baby grows and gets heavier, your muscles are tired. If you aren't sure, call your doctor!

thanks for the advice. i think of it as getting closer and closer to the day. i'm just wishing my water would break and go into labor.
