Hey ladies, I'm just worried that I haven't dialated at all yet! Should I be? I have a stenotic cervix and worry that it won't budge!

I'm 37 weeks now, on my last appointment when i was 36 weeks my cervix wasn't dilated but only 20% effaced..they told me it's not necessary that u dilate at 36 week it can happen any time..but still i wish i dilate earlier so that i will be sure i will going soon coz usually at first pregnancy u really don't have a clue..and also it doesn't mean if u r dilated even to 4cm u will go to labor earlier it might take weeks too..don't worry i'm with u, hope things progress soon

On Tuesday, I was 1cm and 50 % effaced. But who knows when I'll have him! I only have about 3 weeks to go now, but feels like an eternity! Ever since I found out I was dialated I have been doing lots of squats and walking to get things moving faster. But that doesn't mena it will oh well he will come when he wants to!

At 36 weeks I was 3 cm and 50 % effaced and the same at 37 weeks. I wouldn't worry about not being dialated. That can happen in a matter of hours!

I had an appt this last tuesday. Im 36 weeks and 1 cm dilated which I have been 1 cm since I was 32 weeks. Its perfectly normal to not be dilated yet. I had just been doing too much strenuous activities and got put on bed rest.

I got checked for the first time today, 36 weeks and 4 days. 1 cm, 50% effaced, and the head was still pretty high. I wouldn't worry about it, Leahp. You don't have to dilate before labor. Some do and some don't.
