do you think someone that works until they go into labor will have the baby sooner than someone who takes maternity leave early?

Yes. Physical activity can induce labour but be careful, your body may not respond as well as you'd like.

No. I am working until I go into labor and I am at my 38th week...It seems even worse because I am not that busy

I honestly don't know the answer to that but I was told by the doctor that if everything is normal then there is no need not to get around and do the stuff that your used to. I am due April 8th and I have worked up until this day. Yeah there are days that I am extremely exhausted and stuff but I still think that with me working my labor is progressing alot faster than it would have if I wasn't working.

I don't think that by working till your due date will make you go into labor sooner. It may keep your mind off of the fact that you're not going into labor, but my dr says the only thing that may work to bring on labor is s_x.

I agree with shippan, if nothing else working keeps your mind busy, your co-workers will be super nice to you and you save up precious FMLA days!
