25 Months Refusal To Nap

My dd just turned 25 months and out of the blue has decided to stop napping. She is in a big bed, not a crib, and has had no issue with it up until yesterday. She takes a nap at 1pm and usually sleeps till 3-4, depending on when she actually goes down. Yesterday and today she just plays - she gets out of bed and plays with all her toys. I've tried leaving her for a while to see if she gets tired after a bit but nope, she just plays/ Yesterday she played for 2 hours, then fell asleep on the floor behind her door - and I woke her up when I went to check on her. Today, same thing. We read stories like we always do - but as soon as I leave she's up playing. I even took her stool away so she doesn't get out of bed but I can tell she managed to get out of bed anyways. Help!!!! Why isn't she sleeping???? It's too soon for no naps! I know she's tired too because she gets super cranky by 4pm and will even fall alseep if I take her in the car. I have an almost 4 mo old too so I need this nap time!! Is it just a stage???

my 23 month old who was always a good napper has gotten extremely erratic with her napping habits too. ive heard from other parents that she will "grow out of naps" soon... NOOOOOOOOO!!! that's mommy's time!! :) kidding... but still i feel your pain because dd is clearly tired but won't go down... hang in there.... see if maybe putting her dow for nap a little earlier does the trick. it sounds crazy but sometimes when kids get tired and you dont put them down right away theyll catch a second wind and wont go down at all. good luck mama, im in the same boat!!!
