I find that I am Soooo much more emotional since the birth of my child (first.).It's been a year! I cry when I hear stories on the news of parents harming their children and get enraged over it. I think how could they and then hope they burn in h__l. I can't watch movies that have any scenes where children are killed or seriously hurt, or read or listen to sad stories involving children. Did this happen to you? I used to think before my dd was born "oh that's sad" when I'd hear or see this stuff but now it reallly touches a nerve. Was wondering if this is common....

I got more sensitive to what happens to kids since having children, maybe not to the point of crying. What I found strange with myself - I CAN NOT read the Robert Munch's book "Love You Forever" without bawling my eyes out. My kids don't know the end of the book still - can't finish it, start crying.

Yes, i get more sensitive to when i hear bad stories about babies or children. It's because now we have the emotional bond to our kids and know that we couldn't bare anything happening to them.

I think its totally common, I get the same way when I hear stuff on the news or see it in movies.

ITW, is the Robert Munch book the one where at the end there is a picture of a loving elderly mom being held by her now grown son. If so, yes, I bawled at the end of that one too.
