Is That Milk In The Sippy Still Fresh

My little one is the type who likes to have her sippy and just takes drinks from it every now and then. Ho do I know how long the milk inside is still OK to drink. I really don't think she is at the age where she would ask for a cup if she didn't see one and I want to make sure she has it available to her if she is thirsty, but obviously I dont want her drinking milk that is not fresh. Is there a good rule of thumb?

ninerhere I've wondered the same thing. I've taken to just filling the milk about halfway in the sippy.... and if he seems to be in the mood to play with his cup, then i switch it to water. ds drinks water out of his sippy no problem. i've been trying to decide if it's okay to put the milk back in the fridge and let him drink it later... mostly i just use my own judgement -- if I would drink it, then i let him drink it. but i'm pretty picky, lol. ~spam

hmmm I've wondered about this myself! my dd is the same when it comes to drinking milk from a sippy. I just let her play with it and drink here and there for 15-20 mts, if she doesn't drink it then it goes back into the fridge. I do rinse off the cap before putting it back in the fridge, caz i've noticed milk drying up on the spout if I dont...

With my son I give him milk during meals, and during playtime I give him water, that way I know he's drinking good milk.
