I was wondering if anyones LO's have been diagnosed with milk, soy, protein intolarence? My DS is 5 weeks old and we found out he Hhas MSPI and a mild case of reflux. Just wondering what you guys are doing for it and if you have older children that have had it, when did they grow out of it?

My niece had it and grew out of it by about age 2 or 3. She wasn't diagnosed until she was almost 1 and had a horrible first year. So you're lucky they caught it!

My son was diagnosed at 10 days old with a milk and soy allergy, so even worse than just an intolerance. He was on special (and super expensive) formula but outgrew the allergy at 1 year. We found out because he had bloody poop. My doctor also warned us not to give him egg products until a year as well.

I never actually saw blood in his poop, but they ran a lab on his stool sample and it was positive for blood. We are now in Similac Alimentum. we are also on Zantac for reflux. He has what they call silent reflux. He does not vomit or spit up bad, the acid comes to the bottom of his throat and that was also causing him pain.
