my daughter is 19 months old and im thinking to start potty training her.. many people are telling me that the sooner i start the easier it would be.. i have no idea on how to do that honestly.. she knows when she's doing #2 and sometimes tells me that she pooped by saying "kaka".. sometimes she tells me after she had already done it.. but i cant imagine she would tell me when she wants to pee cz she doesnt mind it actually.. how should i start and am i late? i have a friend who trained her baby girl at 15 months cz she was 8 months pregnant by that time.. any ideas and success stories? thanks a lot mommies :)

Well my son just turned 2 on Dec. 20 and he wants nothing to do with the potty. We have tried many different times and he will sit there for well over an hour and not even go, and he throws fits and just wants nothing to do with it. He will tell you if he has pooped and say it is nasty, and he will say "pee pee" but if you put him on the potty then he just throws a fit. It is frustrating because I know he is smart enough to do it. I do not think you are too late, one suggestion that was given to me is to set a timer and every hour take your LO in and put them on the potty, let them sit there for 15 min and if they do not go then let them down and take them in another hour. This allows them to not get frustrated or you for that matter.

thanks a lot AmandaManns for ur advice..i'll sure try letting her to sit down every hour for 15 minutes since i doubt that she would ever sit for that long.. she hates to stay still for more than 5 minutes :) thanks dear
