Switching Daycares

I have a 13 month daughter and she has been in a home daycare ever since I went back to work at 10 weeks postpartum. We are building a new house and her daycare will be 35 min one way from our new house...I had planned on keeping her there because I am so happy with the lady that takes care of her. On a daily workweek I will be spending 2 hours a day in the car...35 min there and then 25 min to my work. Here is the problem the price of gas.....I am not sure I can afford it. Any tips on how she would adjust etc?

Hey Jendean00, well I'd say she'd adjust just fine, my ds is 16 months, he's been in daycare since 11 months. I just moved and switched his daycare, and today was his first day and he did great!! I too was very happy with his old daycare, and considered moving near by just to keep him in it... then I decided that I had to move areas, found a daycare that I think is going to be MUCH better than his old one.. who knew? I'll let you know how he does the rest of the week, but after one day it was good!! Good luck.. Kim
