Worried Has Been Crying Since Yesterday

My almost 2 yo was very fussy yesterday. My mom takes care of him and said that all day he was just crying. When I got home, I gave him some lemonade and was happy while drinking it then started crying again, then I gave him a slice of bread and was happy then started crying, and he was like that all day, happy, crying, happy crying. Then at bed time, I was playing with him, I grabbed him by his arms and was dancing with him while he was on the bed and he went backwards laughing and I got his hands and playfully punched his belly with his own hands, obviously not hard and he started crying, making me think that it did hurt him. Then he went crying downstairs and fell asleep on the floor. This morning I was about to go to work and he woke up and started crying, which is usual for him when he wakes up and doesnt see anybody, so I took him downstairs with my parents and he was ok. Then he started crying and wouldnt stop, so I took him in my room and was cradling him for a while, until he calmed down. I thought he was feeling sick or something hurt, I almost didnt go to work to take him to the doctor, but after around 5 minutes cradling him he was ok and even was smiling. Then of course started crying when I left, which is also normal. What could be wrong with him? If something were hurting him, he would be constantly crying no?... My lo doesnt speak much so he wont tell me what is wrong.

It seems to me that the logical explaination would be that he isn't feeling well. Especially since this behavior is abnormal. Did you check to see if he has a fever? I wouldn't hesitate taking him to the pediatrician. Maybe you could call and get him in today? You may just have to leave work early. I hope he is alright.

I just called my mom and she says he was only crying in the morning and has been normal the rest of the day, so Im going to see how he is when I get home, if he still seems sick, I will take him tomorrow, and just miss work.

It is also possible that he is just in a grumpy mood. It is hard when we aren't sure what is going on and they can't tell us.

I got home yesterday and he was happy all the rest of the day. He woke up crying again today but I soothed him and he was normal again. So I guess he is just moody... I think he is going through a Im a big boy now moment and its too much for him lol!
