I am 20 weeks preg. w/ twins, my last us was done at 11 weeks, I keep thinking that it might actually be 3 is this possible/ can one of them be overshadowing the other? I just can't shake the feeling that there are 3 insted of 2

Yes, it is possible for doctors to miss a baby on the ultrasound. In some cases, they just don't look for an additional fetus. I have a friend who thought she was having twins until her 5th month when they detected another heartbeat, then in the ultrasound, they saw the third fetus.
