Just Now Starting To Mourn The Loss Of A Triplet

Hey, I've been on this board off and on. My twins are 14 months old now and I'm so happy with them... but what I never mentioned before is that I conceived triplets. I had an identical set and a fraternal one. One of the identicals stopped development around 2 months old or maybe a little less. I never gave it much thought because I was so consumed with the pregnancy, then being a new mom but now, I've been starting to feel sad and I keep imaging what it would be like to have the other baby around. I'm not sure what I should do about this. I don't like the idea of counseling or therapy. Is there something I can do to get closure on this? Let me know if anyone has any words of wisdom or ideas. Maybe someone else has already been through this? Anyway, just trying to not be so sad since I have so much to be happy about. Plus, I really can't let my emotions get in the way of being a wife and mother.

Hi, I am so sorry for your loss! And i am sure its very upsetting no matter how many healthy baby's you have! Unfortunately they will never make up for your lost one, did u have a serves in anyway for your lost baby? Maybe this could help you get some closure. And make time where you can be emotional about it! It will help if you grieve for your loss! Hope things get better for you and keep doing a wonderful job with your children! How old are your twins? they are 14 (almost 15) months now. Since that baby was miscarried there was no service. I have had miscarrage before and did not have a service because usually ppl don't. The main difference here was that there were 2 other surviving babies, and one surviving baby is genetically identical to the lost one so it really puts a visual to it. I know exactly what she would have looked like.... So, I think it helped to name her (the lost triplet)
