POST PARDUM

Just had a baby girl and boy on the 17th of this month. She weighed 5lb, 1 oz and he weighed 5lb, 12 oz. I delivered the boy va___ally, but had to deliver the girl by c-section due to her heart rate. Anyway, they are home and I just needed some support because I am exausted. I knew it would be hard but it is harder than I thought to basically be a single mom of the twins, including my 3 year old son. Their dad comes over sometimes but I am with them the majority of the time and it is hard to stay sane sometimes. I am br___tfeeding both, they are doing well on that but between the both of them, it seems they are always on the br___t. It's almost impossible to wash bottles, and do the laundry, go to the bathroom, do dishes and especially to eat in between their little naps and I am well aware of how important it is to sleep when they sleep but my house would be a wreck and nothing would get done. Like I said, I came here to get a little support, maybe some words of encouragement that it will get better. I would greatly appriciate it. Thanks.

Congrats on your new babies! The beginning is SO SO hard, especially since you're doing it all alone. Nursing is tough too, I didn't make it past the first month. The best advice I can give you is to LET the house be a wreck once in a while and get some sleep. It's amazing h ow much better a nap can make you feel. Can your ex take your 3 yr. old out for the day once in a while to give you a little bit of a break? It does get easier, you're really in the thick of it right now. Do you have any family members who can come by for a few hours to help?

PS - do not be afraid to speak to your doctor if you feel that you're going to break. PPD can really sneak up on you, especially when you're doing it all alone.
