Hi everyone! First off I hope all is well, and congratulations!! I am currently 23 weeks preggo with twins! We are sooo excited!! I am just wondering when you all stopped working? I am having such a hard time at work, and every time I bring it up woth my doc he brushes me off, so annoying!!! Also I ams curious how often does you doc see you? How often are you going for ultrasound? I have just started biweekly ultrasounds, is that strange? Take care, and Merry Christmas!!

JULIE- My goal was to stop at around 29 weeks. I was having a hard time at work, also. I got pains in my v____al area from the walking, etc. This begin to happen at around 18 or 19 weeks. I had a very bad bleeding attack at work. I went to the restroom and my white underwear was bright red. This occured with clots at least 5 or more times within 2 months. I knew I needed to stop working and was forced too because of the bleeding and clotting. I am know on permanent bedrest until delivery. I am currently 31 weeks. I have been on bedrest for about a month and a half. Julie, I have had no pains or bleeding at all. I feel so much better. If you are having a hard time, pls pay attention to your body. Don't be like me. My babies are OK but the bleeding was scary. I thought I was miscarrying everytime. You have the right to tell your doctor about your concerns and he is supposed to write a note for you and fill out your disability medical certificaton form. Since 28 weeks, I see my doc every 2wks. Before that it was once a month. I get an u/s every 2 wks. Wow, you already get them every 2 wks? Lucky you!

MsMonet, I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better, I can't imagine how scary the bleeding must have been!! I am planning to tell my doc that I have had enough, I am too scared to risk anything happening to these two!! How is your bed rest going? Hopefully not too tough! Soon enough you will be done and get to see your beautiful little ones! I love going for ultrasound, but I am always afriad for the first few minutes to make sure they are still in there!! Then I enjoy it!! Take care!!

Julie-Keep me informed. I am curious to know what your doctor will say. One thing that I have learned from other mothers is to always pay attention to signs and gut feelings. If you feel its time to stop working then do so. I love going in for u/s also. I didn't like going once a month. Its better to hear theh/b every 2 wks. Most women I know who stop working usually do it at the 26th week or 27th week. Everyone is different. Go with your gut feeling, Julie. Everyones experience is different. I am thankful that I am OK now but I took a silly chance... I could have prevented the bleeding and ER scares if I would have paid attention to that small voice that told me to stop working... All of the walking around took a toll on me. :O)

Bedrest really does suck but its for the best. No bleeding or pains. Before, I also had swollen feet and hands. Now, with rest and elevated feet it is no more. I find myself looking out of the window admiring those who walk freely on the streets. Lol! But it'll all be worth it.

Hello Juliebell!! My OB doc asked that I consider quitting work at my 26 week mark. He said he wanted me to rest during the 3rd trimester. (this was told to me at my first OB appointment) Well, I finally ended work at 27 weeks and I am glad I did. I am now 30 weeks and get winded very easily. I also get tired and my b/p rises with no effort at all which in turn makes me feel very sick to my tummy. I was also having alot of b/h contractions at work. (yes, I am still having them so I was told to rest as much as possible at home) I am now on weekly OB appointments and every 2 week u/s appointments. I am guessing 4 to 6 more weeks before I pop, or at least that is the family bets!! HAHAHAHA. Good luck to you sweetie!!!

Hi Julie - I am almost 25 weeks with identical boys! My doc told me to go until I feel I can't anymore. I am self-employed as an owner of a bed and breakfast, so I will see how much I can handle. I have someone who cleans for me now, so that is a big weight off my shouders (and belly!). I am very particular about breakfast though and not willing to give that up just yet. I am hoping to make it another few weeks. The good thing is that it is not every day...mostly weekend intensive. 4 days a week at most. So, I do have some down time to relax....that is if you can with a two year old running around as well! Listen to all the other ladies and trust your body and your gut. I see the doc every three weeks now and an u/s every 3 weeks as well, but I think they will be changing that soon too! Good luck to you and keep us informed!!! :-)
